Amalfi coast

The Amalfi Coast, as well as Costiera Amalfitana in French, is a stretch involving coastline on the southeast side of the Sorrentine Peninsula of Italy (Province of Salerno), stretching out from Positano in the particular west to Vietri sul Mare in the east.

The main city close to the Amalfi Coast is Salerno, the municipalities owned by its coast are Vietri sul Mare, Cetara, Maiori, Tramonti, Minori, Ravello, Scala, Atrani, Amalfi, Conca dei Marini, Furore, Praiano and Positano. Not far from the territory of the coast (near Furore in addition to Conca dei Marini) would it be situated Agerola, located within the Sorrentine Peninsula and of the Province of Naples.

Well known for its rugged landscape, scenic beauty, picturesque areas and diversity, the Amalfi Coast was included in Positano (1953) by simply American writer John Steinbeck.
